SOLICITING ALL VOLUNTEER
FIREFIGHTERS THROUGHOUT CENTRAL PA! The date is official! The “Hottest Of”
Disaster Recovery Charity will have its 5th annual “Hottest Of” Contest on
Thursday, September 9, 2010. This year the contest will be held at The
Appalachian Brewing Company, 50 North Cameron Street, Harrisburg. The event
which includes band entertainment by Nate Myers & The Aces, Food including a
Pig Roast and hundreds of Firefighters is open to everyone. A $15 donation
to the charity will be required at the door of all non-firefighters and will
include all food and entertainment.
The “Hottest Of” Event will be filled with volunteer
fire fighters being photographed for the 2011 “Hottest Of” Contest. Jaime
Novinger, President of Service 1st Restoration & Remodeling and
founder of the charity said, “We are honored to again have an evening to
celebrate the heroic work of our volunteer firefighters.” Corporate
Sponsors and local support make this event possible and will be recognized
for their support. This
will be the 2nd year the charity has been partnered with the
local American Red Cross of The Susquehanna Valley Disaster Relief Fund.
Novinger stated “On behalf of the Charity, we look forward to presenting a
check to the Red Cross to assist our local victims of Property Disaster and
to thank our local chapter for delivering disaster relief to our
community.”

All are invited to go on-line to vote for who should be selected for the
2011 “Hottest Of” calendar. The top six will be selected by the public for
the 2011 calendar while four will be nominated by their peers and the
remaining two will be selected from fire company participation and community
attendance at the event. The winners will be contacted September 17th
and scheduled for a professional photograph for the calendar publishing.
