OCTOBER 15, 2009, 7PM-10PM – SOLICITING ALL VOLUNTEER FIRE FIGHTERS THROUGHOUT CENTRAL PA!  The date is official!  The “Hottest Of” Disaster Recovery Charity will have its fourth annual “Hottest Of” Contest on October 15th, 2009.  The Firehouse Restaurant, a favorite among all, will again be the location for the contest.  The event is open to everyone - a $10 donation to the charity will be asked of all non-firefighters.    

The “Hottest Of” Event will be filled with volunteer fire fighters being photographed for the 2010 “Hottest Of” Contest.  Jaime Novinger, President of Service 1^st Restoration & Remodeling and founder of the charity said, “We are honored to again have an evening to celebrate the heroic work of our volunteer firefighters.”  Corporate Sponsors make this event possible and will be recognized for their support.  As the evening proceeds, an introduction will be made to one of the victims the charity assisted along with an announcement of a new partnership between The “Hottest Of” Disaster Recovery Charity and our local American Red Cross of the Susquehanna Valley  Disaster Relief Fund.     

Novinger, stated, “There is no one with more expertise on how to deliver disaster relief than the Red Cross. Our local chapter has extremely qualified volunteers who will help our charity in fulfilling our mission – this is an exciting announcement and we are extremely pleased with this partnership!”  The American Red Cross assisted 305 families (918 individuals) in fiscal year 2008-2009. 

The firefighter’s pictures taken at the event will be posted at www.serve1st.com from October 19^th-21st.  All are invited to go on-line to vote for who should be selected for the 2010 “Hottest Of” calendar.  Those chosen will be professionally photographed at the PA Fire Museum for placement in the calendar.  

Calendars will be on sale for $10 and the money raised from the calendar sales will go to the “Hottest Of” Disaster Recovery Charity and the local Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
