Harrisburg, PA: 7pm-9pm OCTOBER 11, 2007 – The date is official! The “Hottest Of” Disaster Recovery Charity will have its second annual “Hottest Of” Event. The perfect locale for the event, The Firehouse Restaurant, will again compliment the concept. All are invited and encouraged to attend the event. A $10 donation to the charity will be asked of all non firefighters.
Local photographer and founder of MODE Entertainment, Scott Giambalvo will liven the crowd with his overpowering personality, while local DJ, Viktor Luchesse, of 462 Entertainment, will create an energy, new to the event.
The concept of giving recognition to volunteer firefighters for their heroic work and using the money raised from the sale of a calendar has not gone unnoticed. Sherry Christian of Channel 21 News expressed her genuine interest in sharing the charity with the community by inviting the charity and firefighters for live interviews, while the event itself received press from Channel 8, Channel 27 and Channel 21.
Jaime Novinger, a founder of the charity said, “The firefighters we have met over the past year are truly inspiring and humble. They have reached out to the charity to see how they can be of help. These volunteers deserve recognition for what they do for us, the people.”
The pictures taken at the event will be posted at www.serve1st.com from October 15-18th. All are invited to go on-line to vote for who will be in the 2008 “Hottest Of” Calendar. Those chosen will be professionally photographed at a location that will bring a raw, unvarnished image to the calendar. Novinger stated the pictures will capture a new cutting edge that will highlight the firefighter’s daily responsibilities.
The money raised will go to the “Hottest Of” Disaster Recovery Charity which will assist those who have gone through a disaster, whether it is a fire or a flood, that has destroyed their home. The Mission of the charity is: To simply give back to those that have experienced a recent disaster through a grant of kindness.
